Instead of a spacing of 27mm between the heel riser inserts on Freeride Split 151, they have a spacing of 25,5mm. Freeride Split 151 is compatible with Plum, Union, and karakoram bindings and Voile Tour STS or Phantom Rocket heel risers for hardboots.For Spark Arc or Surge, the hole farthest to the back on the heel rest would have to be extended by 1,5mm in order to fit properly.

-Splitboards have extra heel riser inserts. This makes it possible to use hardboots with standard Voile heel risers on our splitboards or Spark Dual Height Climbing Wires without the adapter. This option is 20-50g lighter than any of the hardboot specific heel risers on the market.

-Rounded corners of the Freeride Split improve durability and prevent the nose from catching the wall of the skin track when touring.

Locking Inside Edge-Technology

A tongue and groove system has been developed eliminating the movement between the board halves. The new splitboard locking Edge-Technology assembles like a regular splitboard and rides like your solid snowboard. Gone is the lack of response that splitboards have suffered from. Comes with a custom ice scraper that can be used to easily clean both board halves and bindings from snow and ice comes along with the splitboard. While not needed most of the time, this is a great tool to have for the conditions where snow tends to stick to the board.

Slightly Shorter Turning Radius

Furberg made the turning radius slightly shorter than the first generation boards to make the snowboards more responsive and playful on hardpack. But don’t worry, the boards still have approximately a 70 % longer turning radius than the average freeride board.

Low Camber

The best compromise between the flotation of full rocker, responsiveness and grip of camber help achieve even better all conditions edge-hold, more responsive behavior, and greater grip while skinning.

Longer Rocker and Reverse Sidecut Radii

Allows Furberg snowboards to be even more catch free and to maintain direction better when on edge more than before.

Longer and Higher Nose

Increases flotation and makes the board slide over irregularities in the snowpack with less resistance. The rounded corners of the Freeride Split improve durability and prevent the nose from catching the wall of the skin track when touring.
Turning Radius
In the skiing industry it is obvious that you need a longer turning radius on a freeride ski than on a slalom ski. In the snowboard industry Furberg Snowboards is the only brand that has realized this. Longer turning radius generates better stability at speed. But even more importantly it gives the splitboard a calmer and more forgiving behavior.

Transitions – Rocker and Reverse Sidecut
The transitions towards the tips are so long, smooth and gradual on our splitboards, you can’t tell where the nose and the tail starts. Since the pressure gets distributed over a larger section, the splitboard is catch-free and easy to ride. Thanks to the long transitions, the board impacts irregularities in the snow with a low angle of incidence and slides over with little resistance. This gives a less bumpy and more forgiving ride.
