The Fjell MT1542s is built and designed for freeriding, but also defines itself as an all mountain board that thrives anywhere, in any condition, all over the mountain.
With a big nose, tapered shape, as well as the hybrid rocker-camber profile is what makes the MT1542s a very stable board to ride in demanding backcountry terrain.
It´s quick response in every turn provides unbelievable flow and confidence, in any circumstance, from steep wide open bowls to tight trees and narrow couloirs. The slightly narrower tail makes the board float very well in powder and this combined with its directional “S” rocker shape, makes the rider´s balance point centered to the boards´ shape. The camber underfoot allows for great skinning grip and powerful edge control. The larger sidecut has been designed to provide high performance and stability at speed in variable snow conditions.
Full poplar wood core with beech reinforcements makes the board light, trusty, easy to ride and very stable at high speeds and also gives it great pop for floating through natural topography. The sintered base is fast and robust against rough terrain in all snow conditions. ABS sidewalls and a biaxial fiberglass weave provide torsional stiffness, as well as a predictable flex.
The board is manufactured with the environment in mind using a non-toxic topcoat that still sheds snow well and recycled steel edges. Finishing the tip and tail off are aluminum reinforcement plates built right into the base.
